Town Centers tie together a Bubb society, replacing village squares with a building where records are kept and town councils handle the maintenance of their societies. Early Bubb societies had many different forms of governance, whether relying on a tribal chieftain, council of elders or a direct democracy.
Once a Bubb has grown out of infancy which may take around 20 years, they become a part of society through a ceremony taking place at the town center with their peers. They still take centuries to mature however, and Bubbs seldom die of old age. In emergencies, if all buildings are full the Bubbs will huddle in fear around the town center, providing a last line of defense for the infants against aggressors.
While multiple Town Centers aren't necessarily needed, if you want a large number of builders or garrisonnable units, having these spread out can speed up your economic boom.
As these are expensive, more should only be constructed after entering the Bronze Age and securing a decent economy.
The town center in its original form was the first object imported into the game.
While fleeing Bubbs will float towards the Town Center if there are no other buildings with a free garrison nearby.
